Abstract:
In a brief overview, this doctoral dissertation examines the short form as a modern prose genre and the emergence of Creative Writing as a dynamic tool in the development of short story writing as an artistic expression. The focus is on the fictional character, on the way he/she is used in the narrative, on the methods of developing a character based on the scientific view and practical use. The elaboration of the dissertation includes additional original short stories, written by the signatory doctoral candidate, in order to support the theoretical and practical approach of the genre.
